About Me
Hello, my name is Sarah Sachs
I am Filmmaker, Actor, Screenwriter, Editor, and Social Media Manager based in Westchester County, New York. I was raised in a biracial Hispanic and white home and my family has been in America since 1635! My diverse background cultivated in me a love and interest in humanity which transformed into my
love and passion for all aspects of film and media at a young age when I would write, direct, edit and act in short films with my cousins. In high school, this love and passion led to one of my favorite early projects, a documentary about the evolution of a local indoor mall in Westchester County.

My childhood love and passion continued through college while I studied Digital Media Production at SUNY New Paltz where I explored Modern Irish Theatre in Ireland during a study abroad program and being a host for my college’s YouTube Channel. I am also very proud of my short film, How We Met, a film which I wrote, produced, directed, filmed, and edited. It is a story about how my parents met in college, the same college I attended, SUNY New Paltz!
Of all my projects, my favorite moment was winning first place in the 2023 BEA Film 48 National Competition for my short film, Project Pineapple, in which I was both behind the camera as a Screenwriter, Producer, Assistant Director, and Editor, and being in front of the screen in the lead role of the film!
Whether I am behind the camera writing, editing, producing, or directing, or in front of the camera acting, I am passionate about storytelling that connects and captivates!
In addition to traditional filmmaking, I am equally passionate about building digital platforms. One of my favorite experiences was filming, directing, and editing content for a Podcast, Too Pretty to Be Unhappy, which earned over 100,000 views. I simply love to be a part of digital growth and bringing creative visions to life!
Please explore my site to experience and enjoy the different flavors of creativity I bring to each project!
